tis a rapture, they wail, mistaking genocide for his glory
for his blessings of grandeur, they howl at starless skies
when the smoke clears and the cinders burn down
they appear aghast at their efforts
"where is he, where is our prize?"
in the tomb
blessed are we
to take their words
and become as them
ancient tongues
composed of sounds
from underneath
the burial shroud
through words unspoken
through deeds undone
we light the way
to paths unknown
translation of forgotten heresies

a proclamation of dreaming plagues

grasping the throat of spiritual misery
indecipherable scripts
a civilization forgotten, reduced to ashes

Don't get me wrong. This is really good and everything is on point. But I'm just kind of confused about the huge elephant in the room regarding the band's name. Seriously? Like how is this not going to get mixed up with THE Leviathan? The Jef Whitehead 20+ year beast? I mean... what's next - "THE BTLS", "MTRHD" or maybe "VN HLN?" Music like this needs a less obvious touchpoint. Because as much as I like "Eradication of Nescience" - it's now begging to be compared to "Scar Sighted." Aka ... GTFO. bcb723

Swirling guitars, furious drums, vocals that at the same time howl from infinite distance and are right up in your head; everything put into dissonant form with the help of unconventional songwriting. This album is my personal key to the icelanding black metal madness that I've ignored for way too long! Lukas Kaufmann
